Day 4 - Tallinn to Helsinki

We checked out of the hotel at 10 and made our way to the ferry terminal which was an easy 1km walk.

It was a bit windy but still warm.

We just scanned our boarding cards, sent with the booking info and made our way to the lounge.  There was plenty of food available and we enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine during the 2 1/4 hour crossing.  I went onto the sun deck and lots of passengers were sitting up there.  It did feel very warm with no wind.

We didnt get the forecasted rain and it was a very smooth crossing.

We disembarked at Helsinki and got a tram to our hotel which is very near to the train station.  We checked in, had a coffee and noticed it was raining so we had a rest instead of going out.  We walked down the corridor but couldn't see any numbers on the door.  After a while we realised that the numbers were on the floor and illuminated in different colours.

The rain stopped early evening so we went for a walk around the city centre.  It was beginning to get dark but after about an hour or so it started raining heavily so we made our way back to the hotel.

The forecast for tomorrow morning is not good so we have booked one of the free walking tours for tomorrow afternoon when it looks like it will be better.
